If there was a way to cut a specific note out of a played chord, I would let multiple modulars handle single notes of the chord and mix them together later. and are the exact reverb settings used on numerous Hillsong songs and albums.
These 12 presets designed by myself (Peter James) and one of our Young and Free keyboard players, Tim Koziol include reverb presets for Pianos, Rhodes, Basses, ARP’s, Leads, Pads etc.
Maybe someone has an idea how to improve it, especially since the modular can route polyphonic signals, but the mixed in FM-Pair is still monophonic, so playing chords is painful. A collection of presets for Valhalla Shimmer. It is already quite ok, but I am not fully satisfied with it.
On this, Ableton's Convolution Reverb Pro is amazing (M4L), go download a bunch of impulse responses online and load them up. IMO Shimmer gives a great results in default mode with some minimal tweaking, I usually set it to dark mode, low cut around 150-200hz, Mix around 50-60 and low feedback around 100, reverb mode: mono, pitch mode: single, other parameters are set by default. As far as I remember I havent used any presets. Then I took a modular and used this as Machine Input (Send Notes ON) and mixed its Stereo signal on each side with a FM-Pair, both 1 Octave higher, detuned a little bit against each other, added a little bit of feedback and the DADSR Envelope set to a small Delay, a little bit Attack and Max Release.
I started with the BLDRUNNER SubSynth preset and gave it a wet reverb with everything on max. 25 for Shimmer presets Are these guys serious Thats half the price of the plugin itself :lol. My workflow is throw on a live preset that approximates what I want, and then later throw on a Valhalla preset and tweak from there. Basically what I understood, for the Shimmer Reverb you need to stack different levels of effects: Was going to buy a good reverb plug-in such as Valhalla Room or Shimmer, then I remembered that AbletonS REVERB plugin is a pretty powerful machine.
